CSAAg (Computing, Sensing & Automation for Agriculture) is a research laboratory led by Dr. Lucas B. Ferreira, an Assistant Professor at the North Mississippi Research and Extension Center. Dr. Ferreira has an academic affiliation with the Dep of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Mississippi State University. Our research employs artificial intelligence, sensing, digital twins, and agricultural robotics to advance agriculture.
The North Mississippi Research and Extension Center (NMREC) exists to serve the needs of agriculture in northeastern Mississippi. It is a part of the Division of Agriculture, Forestry, and Veterinary Medicine of Mississippi State University (MSU), the state's Land Grant institution. Researchers, educators, and agents conduct programs in multiple areas at the NMREC and its experiment stations.
